SM Cinema, San Mateo Light, Camera, Action!
SM Lifestyle and Entertainment, Inc. continued to rise their empire as it opens its 51st SM Cinema at the newly launched SM City San Mateo, Rizal last week.
And good news to all the peeps from San Mateo, SM Cinema San Mateo re-introduced “Winema,” which stands for We Interact with the Cinema. A live interactive pre-movie game, Winema is propelled by a motion sensitive camera that is installed inside the theatre. The camera allows movie goers to play a game by waving their hands in the air, left and right, to control the characters in the screen. SM Cinema San Mateo is the only theatre to carry Winema permanently.
SM Cinema San Mateo is the third SM Cinema to open in Rizal, following SM City Taytay and SM City Masinag. SM Cinema had previously opened its 50th branch in SM Mega Center, Cabanatuan last April 24. Including San Mateo, SM Cinema counts 285 screens nationwide.
