Skip the Reload, Skip the Lines—Tap Straight Through MRT-3 with GCash

Commuting on MRT-3 is now easier with GCash Commute, a cashless way to pay at train stations. With this service, there’s no need to line up to reload or purchase stored value cards. Your GCash wallet balance can be used directly to pay for your trip.

There are three ways to pay using the GCash app:

  1. Scan using the Commute QR code
  2. Tap using a GCash Visa Card or any Visa or Mastercard
  3. Tap using NFC-enabled Android phones

All options are cashless, secure, and directly deducted from your GCash e-wallet balance.

With these three ways to pay via GCash, commuters can go straight through without lining up or searching for reload kiosks.

Free Wi-Fi is also available at all MRT-3 stations through the help of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), allowing commuters to easily access their GCash e-wallet while inside MRT-3 stations.

According to GCash, the service aims to make daily commuting lighter, faster, and more convenient.

“We continue to work closely with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and other government agencies to make travel simpler and more convenient for Filipinos,” said Ren-Ren Reyes, President and CEO of G-Xchange, Inc., the mobile wallet operator of GCash. “With GCash Commute, commuters now have a more flexible and convenient way to pay,” he added.

GCash Commute is part of the ongoing expansion of cashless, safer, and more convenient digital payment options in public transportation.
